+ Outside Sales Representative

Job Description


This position is responsible for representing the company to new and existing accounts in one of three territories: Western Michigan, Northern Indiana, or Northern Ohio. This includes prospecting and developing relationships to maintain customer loyalty while also achieving monthly sales objectives, maximizing profits and increasing market presence.


Responsibilities


● Generate sales with existing customer base and secure new accounts to expand IVS’ presence in the market.
● Maintain long term business relationships between IVS and end users.
● Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings within sales territory daily.
● Educate prospects and current customers on up to date services provided by IVS.
● Maintain up to date prospect and customer records in IVS CRM.
● Identify competition and develop sales strategies to increase market share.
● Coordinate with other members of the sales and customer service team to generate sales and improve job quality and efficiency.
● Provide feedback to sales and customer service team to improve customer relationships.
● Exceed monthly sales goals.

Minimum Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree or 5 years experience in sales, account management, customer support
● Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or Engineering preferred
● Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook
● Must possess a valid driver’s license
● Ability to travel in assigned territory at least 70% of the week

Key Competencies
● Experience selling industrial automation or industrial electronics for a variety of applications to Tier 1 customers.
● Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
● Excellent relationship building skills necessary
● Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Excellent time management and organizational skills

● Total compensation package comprised of both salary and incentive structure

Job Description


This position is responsible for researching and buying products that are essential to our daily operations. The purchaser is responsible for evaluating vendors, prices, and lead times to ensure cost efficiency and timely receipt of goods and services. In addition, it is the purchaser's responsibility to keep daily reports of orders, costs and tracking information as well as building a relationship with key vendors.

Responsibilities


● Research potential vendors
● Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
● Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
● Track orders and ensure timely delivery
● Review quality of purchased products
● Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
● Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
● Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
● Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
● Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

Minimum Requirements


● Bachelor’s degree or 5 years experience in purchasing role
● Degree in Business preferred
● Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook
● Experience with QuickBooks preferred
